Drosophila melanogaster an excellent model for studying fundamentals of development because many of the genes involved in the development of the fruit fly are also found in humans and  the precise formation of each of their 959 body cells has been mapped.

Its many of the genes involved in the development of the fruit fly are also found in humans. Drosophila melanogasteris which is also called Fruit fly is small in size and minimal requirements, many fly's can be raised and tested within a small laboratory which does not have access time, space or funding.

Genetic factors also make this fly an ideal model organism. Drosophila melanogasteris only has four pairs of chromosomes compared to 23 pairs in humans.

HELP PLEASE!!! If carrots were removed from the food web, how might the other populations be affected?
Olenka [21]

Answer:

there might be fewer rabbits and foxes

Explanation:

If carrots were removed from the food web then there might be fewer rabbits and foxes. This is because based on this web, carrots make up 50% of the rabbit's diet. If this is removed, then there would not be enough food to maintain the same size population and the population will begin to shrink. This also applies to the fox population since their main source of food are the rabbits. If the rabbit population decreases, then the fox population will decrease as well since their food supply has shrunk and will not be able to maintain the current fox population size.

amid [387]
Hunt, barnett, and branch (1971) showed that between 60 and 70% of the individuals treated for alcohol, tobacco, or heroin abuse in abstinence-oriented programs had returned to their primary substance use three months after treatment. This study suggests that the relapse dynamic cuts across different substances of abuse and may be a fundamental aspect of all addictive behaviors, at present, abstinence is not a reliable or viable method for the treatment of addictions.
