This theory asserts that the job satisfaction depends on whether a job supplies the things an individual value most. Sometimes, an overall satisfactions derive form combined levels of satisfaction from various elements of an individual’s job which can be from pay, promotion, supervision, coworkers, the work itself.

These job satisfaction are mostly based on cognitive and affective components which are evaluated by what an individual thinks about the job, and how they feel. Therefore, it brings the conclusion that job satisfaction depends on whether you feel that your job supplies the things that you value.
