The correct answer evolution break out in russia in 1917 is :

1917 saw the Russian Revolution, which toppled the imperial government and installed the Bolsheviks as the new ruling party. Widespread discontent and economic misery were caused by rising public corruption, Tsar Nicholas II's regressive policies, and Russia's disastrous defeat in World War I. Riots about a lack of food broke out in Petrograd in February 1917. (St. Petersburg). Nicholas was compelled to resign when the army joined the insurgents. The powerful Petrograd workers' soviet, which supported Russian departure from the war, resisted the provisional government, which was led by Georgy Lvov, when it attempted to maintain Russia's involvement in World War I. Other soviets were established in significant towns and cities, with members chosen from the military and industrial sectors.

The Socialist Revolutionary Party, followed by the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks, controlled the soviet movement. The temporary administration changed four times between March and October. Aleksandr Kerensky took over as leader in July; he survived a coup attempt by Lavr Kornilov but was unable to stop Russia's descent into political and military anarchy. By September, the Bolsheviks under Vladimir Lenin's leadership had secured majorities in the soviets of Moscow and Petrograd and were gaining support from the army and starving urban workers. They overthrew the government and took control of key locations in October, staging an almost bloodless revolution known as the "October Revolution." After making vain attempts to put together an opposition, Kerensky left the nation. A new government made up primarily of Bolsheviks was approved by the soviet congress.
