Disclaimer- The complete question is-

Prince Paper has budgeted the following amounts for its next fiscal year:

Total fixed expenses $300,000

Selling price per unit $60

Variable expenses per unit $25

If Price Paper spends an additional $12,800 on advertising, sales volume should increase by 1000 units. What effect will this have on operating income?

If Price Paper spends an additional $12,800 on advertising, sales volume increases by 1000 units. The operating income will be 22,200.

Selling price per unit $60 = 60(1000 units) = 60,000

Variable expenses per unit $25 = 25(1000 units) = 25,000

FE advertising = 12800

Operating income = Total Revenue – Direct Costs – Indirect Costs

                              = 60,000 - 25,000 - 12800 = 22,200

The following information was available for the year ended December 31, 2019: Earnings before interest and taxes (operating inco
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

Debt ratio = 56%

Times Interest earned = 5 times

Explanation:

The debt ratio is the proportion of the total assets amount that is financed by debt . It is a measure of financial risk. A company with a high debt ratio (in excess of 50%) is considered financially risky. That is may not be able to meet its short term financial obligations

Debt ratio = Debt/Total assets × 100

              = (140,000/250,000)× 100

              = 56%

Times interest earned is the number of times the earning before interest and taxes (EBIT) can pay the interest obligation. It is a measure of financial risk. For example, a company with a ratio of less than 3 times might be considered as potentially unable to meets its loan obligation

Times interest earned = Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT)/Interest expense

= 75,000/15,000

= 5 times.

Which is not an example of a risk management strategy?.
OlgaM077 [116]

Buying a new car is not an example of a risk management strategy.

What do you mean by risk management strategy?

A risk management strategy is a systematic and consistent approach to identifying, assessing, and managing risk.

Travel insurance is an example of this. We do not accept the risks of a lost suitcase or an accident abroad, as well as the associated costs; instead, we pay a travel insurance company, so that they bear the financial consequences.

Thus, Buying a new car is not an example of a risk management strategy.
