The type of UV light used in tanning beds is UVA rays also known as tanning rays. These rays are so harmful because they are not absorbed by the ozone.

<h3>What do you mean by UV light?</h3>

UV light may be defined as electromagnetic radiation or light having a wavelength greater than 100 nm but less than 400 nm.

Tanning rays are so dangerous because they cause skin cancer. So, exposure to these UV lights on the skin is so harmful and deadly.

Therefore, the type of UV light used in tanning beds is UVA rays also known as tanning rays.
