The events that lead Great Britain and United States towards war in 1812 is the capturing and seizing of U.S. ships that were trading with France. During that period of time, Great Britain was fighting a war against France known as the Napoleonic Wars, named after the Emperor of France at that time, Napoleon Bonaparte. The United States, however, wants to stay neutral and trade with both nations since it doesn't want to be involved in world conflict (from George Washington Farewell Address). So, to force the United States to side on either nations, they tried to seize ships and cause diplomatic problems like the XYZ Affair. The United States eventually declare war on Britain after Britain decides to continue seizing ships despite U.S. negotiations and the U.S. attacked Canada because they thought Canadians will like to be free from British rule.

B. How does this speech reflect examples of the Cold War strategies such as foreign aid,
Dahasolnce [82]

The Cold War's "hottest" moment was likely the Cuban missile crisis. It became the closest the world has ever been to a nuclear war and devastation between the United States and the USA. It also evolved into a famous illustration of non-lethal conflict brinkmanship.

What effects did the Cuban Missile Crisis have on relatives who grew up during the Cold War?

However, the non-violent conflict and nuclear arms race were far from done. In actuality, the crisis' other lasting effect was to persuade the Soviet Union to increase

its investment in an intercontinental ballistic missile arsenal that could reach the United States from Soviet soil.
