The given quadrilateral is a kite.

Given: Point A (2, 4), B (-2, -5), C (7, -1) and D (7, 4)

Firstly, we find the distance between AD and DC

AD = \sqrt{(7 - 2)^{2} + (4 - 4)^{2}  }

⇒ AD = \sqrt{5^{2} }

⇒ AD = 5

DC = \sqrt{(7 - 7)^{2} + (4 - (-1))^{2} }

⇒ DC = \sqrt{5^{2} }

⇒ DC = 5

Hence, AD = DC = 5

Now, find the distance between AB and BC

AB = \sqrt{(-2 - 2)^{2}  + (-5 - 4)^{2} }

⇒ AB = \sqrt{(-4)^{2} + (-9)^{2}  }

⇒ AB = \sqrt{16 + 81}

⇒ AB = \sqrt{97}

BC = \sqrt{(7 - (-2))^{2} + (-1 - (-5))^{2}  }

⇒ BC = \sqrt{9^{2}  + 4^{2} }

⇒ BC = \sqrt{81 + 16}

⇒ BC = \sqrt{97}

Hence, AB = BC = √97

In the given quadrilateral, the two pair is of equal length and these sides are adjacent to each other.

Hence, it follows the property of kite.

Use 3.14 for .Jenna is planting four circular gardens. She is planting one garden each for tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, and straw
Llana [10]

Um I assume you're wanting the circumferences of the fences so we have 3 that are all the same size and one that is 3 times as large as any of the others

so here's our equations

3x+y=113.04

y=3x

use substitution

3x+3x=113.04

6x= 113.04

now the question says use 3.14 so I'm thinking you want the answer in terms of pi so first divide 113.04 by 3.14

6x=36pi

x=6pi now substitute that back in for x in one of your equations

y=(3)(6pi)

y=18pi

so the tomatoes carrots and cabbage will all have a circumference of 6pi and the strawberries 18pi

On an airplane there are two seats on the left side in each row and three seats on the right side there are 90 seats on the righ
Anuta_ua [19.1K]
<em><u>The correct answer is 60 seats on the left side</u></em>, but you might also want to know how I got that answer . . .

Let's say, n = number of rows

Since we know the airplane has an equal number of rows on the right side as it does on the left side, then we can mathematically show that:

number of sears on the right side = 3n = 90 seats
number of sears on the left side = 2n = ? seats

3n = 90

n = number of rows = 90/3 = 30 rows

Thus:

2n = 2(30) = <u><em>60 seats on the left side</em></u>

<em>as for how many seats all together, just add . . 90 + 60 = 150 seats total</em>
