The man nominated for vice president replaced by Sargent Shriver was Thomas F. Eagleton

After the ritual, it was revealed that Eagleton had discovered a depression treatment in the 1960s. McGovern ultimately opted to replace Eagleton with former ambassador Sergeant Shriver, despite his initial support for keeping Eagleton on the ticket. The Nixon-Agnew ticket won the presidential election over the McGovern-Shriver ticket.

After the Eagleton controversy, the selection process for vice presidents took longer going forward. Senator Thomas Eagleton of Missouri, who petitioned labor unions and Catholics—two groups McGovern had singled out during the primary movement—was given the location by McGovern. The 1972 Democratic National Convention chose the team of McGovern and Eagleton.

Answer:

Keeping the information in short term memory

Explanation:

Cal just took the information in short term memory. Short term memory provides very limited time to keep information in memory. In a long memory, people can keep information longer. There are some strategies to transfer information from short memory to long memory such as repetition, recalling, taking action and writing. In this situation, Cal only gets informed once and he didn't take any action to transfer information to long memory by taking actions like writing.
