Using Pythagoras theorem the hypothenuse of the figure is 32.5 feet

<h3>What are Pythagoras's Theorem</h3>

Pythagoras theorem is given as “In a right-angled triangle,  the square of the hypotenuse side is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides“. The sides of this triangle  are perpendicular, base and hypotenuse. The hypotenuse is the longest side, as it is opposite to the angle 90°. The sides of a right triangle (say a, b and c) which have positive integer values, when squared, are put into an equation, also called a Pythagorean triple.

The formula of Pythagoras theorem is given as

c² = a² + b²

Taking the two sides given, we can find the hypothenuse of the right angle triangle figure

c² = 26² + 19.5²

c² = 676 + 380.25

c = √1056.25

c = 32.5

The distance from the top of the pole to the stake is 32.5 feet

The following describes a sample. The information given includes the five number summary, the sample size, and the largest and s
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

L= Q_1 - 1.5*IQR = 210 -1.5*40 =150

U= Q_3 + 1.5*IQR = 250 +1.5*40 =310

And if we analyze the info provided we have 500 values

Tails: 160,165,167,171,175,...,268,269,269,269,270,270

So as we can see on the tails any values is <150 or >310 so then for this case we cannot consider as outliers any of the values on the tails of the distribution.

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we have the 5 number summary

(160,210,220,250,270)

So then we have:

minimum = 160 , Q1 = 210, Q2= Median=220, Q3 = 250, Max=270

If we find the interquartile range we got:

IQR = Q_3 -Q_1 = 250-210 =40

For this case we need to find the lower and upper limit with the following formulas:

L= Q_1 - 1.5*IQR = 210 -1.5*40 =150

U= Q_3 + 1.5*IQR = 250 +1.5*40 =310

And if we analyze the info provided we have 500 values

Tails: 160,165,167,171,175,...,268,269,269,269,270,270

So as we can see on the tails any values is <150 or >310 so then for this case we cannot consider as outliers any of the values on the tails of the distribution.

What is the solution to 2 log Subscript 9 Baseline (x) = log Subscript 9 Baseline 8 + log Subscript 9 Baseline (x minus 2) x = n
Kaylis [27]

Answer:

\large\boxed{\large\boxed{x=4}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation to solve is:

            2\log_9 x=\log_9 8+\log_9 (x-2)

1. <u>On the left-hand side </u>use: "The product of a constant by a logarithm is equal to the logarithm raised to the constant"

Thus, the left-hand side is:

               2\log_9 x=\log_9 x^2

2. On the <u>right-hand side</u> use "The sum of two logarithms with the same base is the logarithm of the product":

Then, on the right-hand side:

        \log_9 8+\log_9 (x-2)=\log_9 8(x-2)

3. <u>Make them equal</u>:

      \log_9 x^2=\log_9 8(x-2)

4. Since the two functions are the same, <u>make the arguments equal</u>:

     x^2=8(x-2)

5. <u>Solve the equation</u>:

        x^2=8x-16\\\\x^2-8x+16=0\\\\(x-4)^2=0\\\\x-4=0\\\\x=4\leftarrow solution

What is one third of these?<br> 1<br> 3/4<br> 2<br> 1 1/2<br> 2 1/4<br> 1/2
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

1/3

1/4

2/3

1/2

3/4

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Simply multiply each number by one-third.

1 * 1/3 = 1/3

3/4 * 1/3 = 3/12 = 1/4

2 * 1/3 = 2/3

1 1/2 = 3/2 * 1/3 - 3/6 = 1/2

2 1/4 = 9/4 * 1/3 = 9/12 = 3/4

1/2 * 1/3 = 1/6
