The general formula for the lateral surface area of a right prism is

L = ph

where p represents the perimeter of the base and h represents the height of the prism.

In our case, the perimeter is the sum of the bases.

p = 5 + 5.6 + 2.5 = 13.1 cm

now, the height of the prism is 8 cm

then L = 13.1 cm x 8 cm = 104.8cm^2

Forest covers an area of 3400 km^2. Each year this area decreases by 7.25%. What will the area be after 13 years
ELEN [110]

Area of 3400 decreases by 7.25%.

Rewrite 7.25% as a decimal.

This leads to 0.0725.

So, (3400)(0.0725) = 246.5.

Now (246.5)(13 years) = 3,276.

The area after 13 years will be

3,276 km^2.

inessss [21]

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m= (-6--5)/(-1--3)

m = (-6+5)/(-1+3)
