Transurethral resection of the bladder is a surgical treatment to take away unusual tissue (tumour) from the bladder through the urethra. it's also known as transurethral resection of bladder tumour, or TURBT. A tumour within the bladder can be benign (no longer most cancers) or malignant (most cancers).
