The table shows the rate at which water is being pumped into a swimming pool. Time (min) 2 4 8 12 Amount (gal) 44 88 176 264 5 U

se the unit rate and the amount of water pumped after 12 minutes to find how much water will have 1 been pumped into the pool after 13 minutes. Complete the explanation of your reasoning. 2 The unit rate is 1 gal/min. So 15 minutes after 12 minutes, an additional gallons will be pumped in. A total of 1 gallons will have been pumped into the pool after 13= minutes. 2

The unit rate is 22 gal/min. So, you have

\begin{gathered} \frac{22\text{ gal}}{1\text{ min}}=\frac{x\text{ gal}}{1\frac{1}{2}\text{ min}} \\ \text{ Multiply }by\text{ }1\frac{1}{2}\text{ min on both sides of the equation} \\ \frac{22\text{ gal}}{1\text{ min}}\cdot1\frac{1}{2}\text{ min}=\frac{x\text{ gal}}{1\frac{1}{2}\text{ min}}\cdot1\frac{1}{2}\text{ min} \\ 22\cdot\frac{3}{2}\text{ gal }=x\text{ } \end{gathered}\begin{gathered} \text{Because } \\ 1\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1\cdot2+1}{2}=\frac{2+1}{2}=\frac{3}{2} \end{gathered}

Then, you have

\begin{gathered} 22\cdot\frac{3}{2}\text{ gal }=x\text{ gal} \\ \frac{66}{2}\text{ gal }=x \\ 33\text{ gal = x} \end{gathered}

So, a minute and a half after 12 minutes, an additional 33 gallons will be pumped in. A total of 297 gallons

264\text{ gal + 33 gal = }297\text{ gal}

will have been pumped into the pool after 13 and a half minutes.

Answer:

1)  =  H

2)  =  0,4

4)  =  S

Step-by-step explanation:

1)  H is found by counting across the horizontal (axis) as x and then downwards the vertical axis for y  as y is a negative we find H for y at ( y = -5 )

But when we always read left to right we start with x first at 3 across. (x= 3) as this is the same as (3,-5)

2)  We find x, y at  (0,4) as 0 is middle of the two axis as they cross each other and 4 goes upwards. x= 0 y =4 = (0,4)

4) S is found as it is a refection of (8,-4) across the y axis.

(x = -8) is still x but it is valued as negative in y  as (x = -8)

Then (y = -4) so it stays the same height as y and represents vertical axis line which is called y axis.

And so y reflects the same height.

But in all the others y represents vertical measure generally.

Whilst x represents horizontal measure generally. they both meet at a point which represents two values generally, like cost and time, network output and population, or cupcakes sales and duration/time.

An isosceles triangle has an angle that measures 116.6°. Which other angles could be in that isosceles triangle? Choose all that
katrin2010 [14]
D is wrong. It can't have 2 angles equal to or greater than 90.

2x + 116.6 = 180
2x = 180 - 116.6
2x = 63.4
x = 63.4/2
x = 31.7   Two of this size are the only possible answers.

What is the lateral surface area of this right pyramid with a square base?
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

The lateral surface area of a square pyramid is the sum of the areas of the side faces only, whereas the surface area is the lateral area + area of the base. The lateral area of a square pyramid = 2al (or) 2a√[(a 2 /4) + h 2]. To get the surface area, we need to add the area of the base (which is a 2) to each of these formulas.The surface area of a square pyramid = a 2 + 2al (or) a 2 + 2a[(a 2 /4) + h 2]. where, a = Length of the base (square) l = slant height; h = height of the pyramid.

Step-by-step explanation:

hope this helps if not let me know have a great day :)
