Correlation coefficients are expressed by a number between -1 and 1.

If the value is -1 or 1 it indecates a perfect (negative and positive) correlation.

If the value is 0 indicates null correlation.

As the correlation value for you data set is -0.833 it is very close to the -1. It indicates a good correlation in the data. Then, the value you predicted is reasonably close to the actual value.

2.

\overline{\overline{\Omega}}=10\\\\\overline{\overline{B}}=5\quad\implies\quad P(B)=\dfrac5{10}=\dfrac12\\\\\overline{\overline{C}}=6\quad\implies\quad P(C)=\dfrac6{10}=\dfrac35\\\\\overline{\overline{B\cup C}}=5+3=8\quad\implies\quad P(B\cup C)=\dfrac8{10}=\dfrac45\\\\ \overline{\overline{B\cap C}}=3\quad\implies\quad P(B\cap C)=\dfrac3{10}
