This exercise is about Audience Analysis. When preparing a speech or an essay, it is best practice to take into consideration the audience when deciding the tone (choice of words and mode of delivery) of the essay.

What have you been asked to do in the above exercise?

It is to be noted that you are required to indicate how you will adjust the tone of your essay titled "Humans are addicted to Technology" to suit [on the first image]: An audience

 • whose average age is 17
 • who comprise mostly Millenials
 • who comprise 97% males and 3%, Females
 • who are single
 • Who are 51% Asian American, 48% Japanese American, and 3% Chinese Americans
 • who are students
 • who do not belong to any religious group addicted to technology; and
 • Who are mostly favorable in disposition.

In the second image, there is a continuation of the nature of the audience. Attendance of the program is voluntary to them.

Since you don't know "What they know about the topic" in order to be able to describe the audience, you must take a survey or make a calculated guess.

Given that they are mostly students, you can also design simple research about the history of the school in order to determine that factor.

The last question there deals with the program surrounding the speech. That is, what is the theme of the program as well as its objective?

How does voice affect the credibility of a text?
kolbaska11 [484]

The correct answer is:

The voice affects consistency of tone and the amount of bias revealed.

Explanation:

Voice, in literature, is what we hear when we read the work of a specific author, it is created by the format of the author's writing, while in a spoken language it would be the sound of the voice.

Tone, on the other hand, is the attitude and feelings of the author towards the writing, and it is reflected in the choice of words of the writer to express those feelings to the audience, in a spoken language it would be the actual tone of the voice when someone speaks. Voice affects consistency in tone and the amount of bias revealed because the format used to write a suspense novel, or an ironic comedy would change to express the actual purpose of the writing.
