\frac{width}{distance} =  \frac{15}{20} =  \frac{3}{4}

This means that ,assumining the dimensions stay the same, the width will be equal to three quaters of the length

∴ When length=28cm
   width = 0.75 × 28 = 21cm

Michelle is four times as old as Fiona. Fiona is twice as old as Madeline. Madeline is seven years old. How old is Michelle?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

michelle is 56 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

start with madeline you know she's 7, move on to fiona we know she is twice as old as madeline so we mulitply 7 times 2, we get 14. now we know fiona is 14 and in order to find michelles age we multiply times 4 because shes four time fionas age. 14x4=56.

An automatic machine is set to fill bags of dog food with exactly 25 pounds on average with a standard deviation of 0.5 pounds.
Rasek [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that an automatic machine is set to fill bags of dog food with exactly 25 pounds on average with a standard deviation of 0.5 pounds.

Sample size = n =100

x bar = 24.85 pounds

Sample std error = \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} } =0.05

Hypotheses:

H_0: x bar = 25\\H_a: x bar \neq 25

(Two tailed test at 5% level)

Mean difference =0.15

Test statistic = mean diff/se = 3

Since population std dev is known z test can be used

p value =0.0000

Since p <0.05 we find that the bag does not contain exactly 25 pounds.

nadia wants to enclose a square garden with fencing has an area of 141 ft.² to the nearest foot how much fencing will she need e
Andreas93 [3]

We know that area of the square is 141 square feet. Therefore, we can figure out the dimension of square using formula for area as shown below:

Area=a^{2}\\141=a^{2}\\a=\sqrt{141}=11.874

We know that fencing is used along the sides of the square. Therefore, amount of fencing required will be equal to perimeter of square.

Hence, we can write:

\text{Amount of fencing}=\text{Perimeter of square}

\text{Amount of fencing}=4a=4(11.874)=47.496

Upon rounding to nearest foot, we get the amount of fencing required as 48 feet.
