The Roosevelt Corollary and the Platt

Amendment were tools used by the

United States to defend the interests and

dominance they had established in Latin

America. The United States appeared to

defend the interests of countries in Latin

America in both instances.

The Roosevelt Corollary widened the scope of the Platt Amendment and declared the United States to be the "policeman" of the entire Western Hemisphere, with the authority to interfere in the internal affairs of

other countries in order to maintain stability.

The corollary said that not only were the

countries of the Western Hemisphere closed to colonization by European powers, but that it was the United States' duty to uphold order and safeguard people's lives and property there.

Expansion of idea, all that glitters is not gold(or any one)
nevsk [136]

Answer:

Explanation:

The idea “all that glitters is not gold” was made common by William Shakespeare. The expression comes from the idea that gold is one of the most valuable materials in the world, and that we can recognize it by its shine. Yet, we have to be careful as not everything that glitters and shines will be made of gold. Therefore, the saying tries to warn us that not everything that looks good will turn out to be precious at the end and that we can easily be tricked into thinking something is worth more than it actually is. The first sight of something will not determine its full value.

salantis [7]

Answer:

Mass movement can affect wildlife by blocking or rerouting streams, disrupting the habitats of fish and aquatic plants. It can also remove all the trees and plants from an area, creating habitat loss for birds and mammals that live in forests.
