Answer:

Option d - P(A)=\text{P(A and B)} \times P(B|A)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Event B is dependent on event A, and event A occurs before event B.

To find : Which formula can be used to find the probability of event A?

Solution :

Event B is dependent on event A

i.e. The intersection of A and B - A and B

Probability of event B is dependent on event A is P(A and B)

Event A occurs before event B

i.e. B|A

Probability of event A occurs before event B is P(B|A)

Event B is dependent on event A, and event A occurs before event B is

\text{P(A and B)} \times P(B|A)

The formula which shows the probability of event A is

P(A)=\text{P(A and B)} \times P(B|A)

Therefore, Option d is correct.

The right answer for the question that is being asked and shown above is that: "d. P(A and B) × P(B|A)." Event B is dependent on event A, and event A occurs before event B. the formula that can be used to find the probability of event A is P(A and B) × P(B|A)

The perimeter of the rectangle below is 134 units. Find the length of side RS. Write your answer without variables
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

RS = 30 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Length (PS) = 4y + 1

Width (PQ) = 3y + 3

Perimeter = 134 units

Required:

RS (width)

SOLUTION:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + width)

Plug in the values into the equation

134 = 2[(4y + 1) + (3y + 3)]

134 = 2[4y + 1 + 3y + 3]

134 = 2[7y + 4]

134 = 14y + 8

Subtract 8 from each side of the equation

134 - 8 = 14y

126 = 14y

Divide both sides by 14.

126/14 = 14y/14

9 = y

y = 9

✍️RS = Width (PQ) = 3y + 3

Plug in the value of y

RS = tex] 3(9) + 3 [/tex]

RS = tex] 27 + 3 [/tex]

RS = 30

Determine the pattern in the table and write the function rule. <br> Please help asap.
klio [65]

you need to find how much the output changes for each unit change in the input. (ie from an input change from 5 to 6 the output changes by three units and an input change of 3 (2 - 5 )  units the output changes by 9 units). This will give you the gradient of the equation. then you have to find out the y intercept by finding what the output is when the input is 0. Do this by multiplying the input by the gradient and then subtracting it from that inputs output. This will give you the answer A) 3x

(Sorry, its a bit wordy :) )
