The inner membrane of mitochondria is the functional barrier to the passage of small molecules between the cytosol and the matrix and maintains the proton gradient that drives oxidative phosphorylation.

Mitochondria are membrane-certain cell organelles (mitochondrion, singular) that generate most of the chemical power to strengthen the cellular's biochemical reactions. Chemical power produced by using the mitochondria is saved in a small molecule referred to as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Mitochondria are found in all frame cells, except for some.

Traits of Mitochondria (i) The mitochondria are sausage-fashioned or cylindrical having a diameter of 0.2-1.0 µm and common zero. five µm and duration 1.zero-4.1 µm. (ii) every mitochondrion is a double membrane sure structure. (iii) The internal compartment is referred to as the matrix.

the information for folding proteins into secondary and tertiary structures is present within its amino acid sequence. do you th
marshall27 [118]

Secondary structure is created when a polypeptide chain folds as a result of a contact between the carbonyl group and the peptide linkage's N-H group. The given statement is True.

These proteins have the ability to fold themselves, thus their amino acid sequences must have all the necessary information. Peptide bonds are created when amino acids condense to form protein structures. The main structure of a protein is its arrangement of amino acids.

The dihedral angles of the peptide bonds determine the secondary structure, while the folding of protein chains in space determines the tertiary structure.

A peptide bond is a covalent connection that occurs when an amino acid's  α-amino group and carboxyl group are joined together without the need of water.

Animals eat and digest food to obtain the energy available for life activities. Discuss energy use inanimals. In your discussion
marshall27 [118]

In addition to air and water, our body constantly needs regular inflow of food, which provides the energy reserves necessary for movement, breathing, thermoregulation, heart, blood circulation and brain activity. In the process of digestion of food decays to individual glucose molecules which then fall through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream. With blood flow glucose transported to the liver, where it is filtered and delayed in reserve. The pituitary gland supplies the pancreas and thyroid glands signal to the release of hormones that cause the liver to throw out the accumulated glucose in the bloodstream, and then delivers it to the blood to the organs and muscles that are in need of it. Having achieved the desired body glucose molecules penetrate into the cells, where it is converted into a source of energy that is available for use by cells. Thus, the process of continuous energy supply agencies depends on the level of glucose in the blood.
