Let p represent # of physics texts sold

Let m represent # of maths texts sold

Therefore we have p = m - 60 | because physics texts sold are less than maths by 60

Total sold = 206 = m + p | recall that p = m - 60

We then have 206 = m + m - 60

206 = 2m - 60 | adding 60 to both sides, we have

206 + 60 = 2m | dividing both sides by 2

266/2 = 2m/2

Therefore, m = 133 texts

and p = m - 60 = 133 - 60 = 193

Find an<br> explicit formula for the geometric sequence 120, 60, 30, 15, ....
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

f(n) = 120 * (1/2)^n

Step-by-step explanation:

First the first number is 120, so we get y = 120, then 60/120 = 1/2

So we no the r, or constant rate is 1/2.

After that, we can finish our equation by doing

f(n) = 120 * (1/2)^n

or

y = 120*(1/2)^x

What is the answer!!!!!! Plz help me
taurus [48]

Answer:

\boxed{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the geometric mean theorem:

The altitude on the hypotenuse is the geometric mean of the two segments it creates.

In your triangle, the two segments are MP and PO.

MP + PO = MO

  MP + 3 = 15

        MP = 12

Then,

h = \sqrt{12 \times 3} = \sqrt{36} = \mathbf{6}\\\text{The altitude of the triangle is }\boxed{\textbf{6}}
