Number of cups of water consumed per hour = 1 2/3 cups = 5/3 cups .

Number of hours spent in exercise = 14 hours

Number of cups consumed in the given month = ( Number of cups consumed per hour )(Total number of hours)

Therefore,

\begin{gathered}  \\  \\  \end{gathered}

Thus the number of cups of water consumed is ,

23\text{ }\frac{1}{3}

What is the distance between P(-4,3) and Q(6,1)? Round to the nearest tenth.
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

The answer is

<h2>10.2 units </h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points can be found by using the formula

d =  \sqrt{ ({x1 - x2})^{2} +  ({y1 - y2})^{2}  }  \\

where

(x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) are the points

From the question the points are

P(-4,3) and Q(6,1)

The distance between them is

|PQ|  =  \sqrt{ ({ - 4 - 6})^{2} +  ({3 - 1})^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{ ({ - 10})^{2} +  {2}^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{100 + 4}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  =  \sqrt{104}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  = 2 \sqrt{26}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \\  = 10.1980390271

We have the final answer as

<h3>10.2 units to the nearest tenth</h3>

Hope this helps you

Explain in your own words how to rewrite an equation (function) in slope-intercept form if the equation is presented to you in s
Elena L [17]
Standard form : Ax + By = C
slope intercept form : y = mx + b

example :
2x + 3y = 10....we want the 3y term by itself...so subtract 2x from both sides
3y = -2x + 10 .....now we have to divide both sides by 3 to get y alone
y = (-2/3)x + 10/3 <== slope intercept form...u dont need the parenthesis in there, I was just showing u that I divided by 3

another one..
-4x + 5y = 9.....got to get 5y by itself....this time we add 4x
5y = 4x + 9...now divide both sides by 5 to get y alone
y = 4/5x + 9/5
