The three themes in a modest proposal are Sincerity, Colonialism and Misanthropy.

Swift gave the idea of the modest proposal. A modest proposal refers to the idea which is not liked by everyone and is distasteful and unorthodox but had to be put forward as no other options are left. There are many themes in a modest proposal. Sincerity refers to the value of doing the work without any pressure with one's own will. It also refers to completing the work on time without any external force. Colonialism refers to the rule of a certain power over the group of people by controlling their life and all the supplies they require to lead a life. For example, The British setup colonies in different parts of the world and India was one of them. Misanthropy is a term that refers to the hatred of humankind.

What is one way to distinguish between psychology and sociology?
Softa [21]

The correct answer is D. All of the above

Explanation:

Psychology and sociology are both science or studies that focus on analyzing human beings and their behavior. However, the focus of each one and approaches are different. In the case of psychology, this is interested in studying the inner mental processes of subjects including the conscious and the unconscious that allow psychologist to understand mental health. On the opposite, sociology deals with society and not with mind and because of this sociology studies interaction and similar aspects rather than mental processes in order to understand the functions of society. Considering this, it can be concluded all of the above are ways to distinguish between psychology and sociology this includes that psychology focuses on the mind, is interested in mental health and looks inward; while sociology focuses on society, is interested in social functions and sociologist look outward.

nikklg [1K]

Question:

All of the following are formal or informal sources of presidential power except

a. presidential authority to raise revenue

b. presidential access to the media

c. precedents set during previous administrations

d. public support

e. the constitution

Answer:

All the mentioned options are formal or informal sources of Presidential power except the Presidential authority to raise revenue.

Explanation:

The powers to raise a revenue is not given to the presidential authority. This is because raising funds occurs when a bill is passed from both the houses of the parliament. A direct implementation of the raise in revenue in a democratic country by a single person or authority would be a sign of dictatorship.

Living in the world's largest democracy, a single raise in any tax or revenue is gone through two houses of the parliament and then it is approved by the government. It is a chain that works and not a single person or authority.

What is the difference between lawfulness and legitimacy? a. the two terms can be used interchangeably b. lawfulness refers to l
motikmotik

Answer:

c. lawfulness refers to citizens while legitimacy refers to the justice system.

Explanation:

Lawfulness describes an action that is permitted by law. When we say that a person acts in a lawful way, what we mean is that the person behaves according to the law. This word is used to refer to private citizens, and not to government institutions. On the other hand, when we talk about legitimacy, we refer to the institutions of a government. An institution that is legitimate is one that obtains its power to act in a legal and accepted way. Although this also means that the institution (such as the justice system) behaves according to the law, it is not considered the same as lawfulness.
