The Giver, by Lois Lowry, is set in a futuristic dystopian / utopian society. Based on the evidence in the text, the place where Jonas lives seems to be a fairly small community. The community is by a river, which comes up often in the plot (at one point, a four year old boy name Caleb drowns in the river).

The correct answer is the oral stage of psychosexual development.

According to Freud's theory of psychosexual development, the oral stage of development is the first stage of psychosexual development which is seen in infants (0- 12 months of age approximately). During this stage of development, the focus is the mouth, and infants derive pleasure and satisfaction by putting things in their mouth. 1.Why did Frederick Douglass consider July 4th a day of mourning rather than rejoicing?
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Douglass delivered a speech at a ceremony to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, held at Rochester's Corinthian Hall. It was a play on words, when the speaker told the audience, "This July 4th is yours, not mine."

Hope it helps!
