Let's use the variable x to represent the number of jeans and y to represent the number of t-shirts.

The price paid for x jeans is 20x and the price paid for y t-shirts is 10y.

If the total cost is $350, we can write this equation:

\begin{gathered} 20x+10y=350 \\ 2x+y=35 \end{gathered}

The number of items is 25, so we can write a second equation:

x+y=25

Subtracting the first and second equations, we have:

\begin{gathered} 2x+y-(x+y)=35-(25) \\ 2x+y-x-y=10 \\ x=10 \end{gathered}

Now, solving the second equation for y:

\begin{gathered} x+y=25 \\ 10+y=25 \\ y=25-10 \\ y=15 \end{gathered}

Therefore she bought 10 pairs of jeans and 15 t-shirts.

Are these all correct?

Problem 1) Line n is the line of symmetry (not line o) because we can fold the lower half to match up with the upper half. The folding line is over line n.

Problem 2) I agree. Nice work on getting the correct answer. The folding line is a vertical line through the center

Problem 3) It's hard to say for sure, but I think the top left corner is NOT reflective over any line of symmetry no matter how you rotate it. So I would uncheck that box. I agree with your other choices though. Great job with those.

The height of a trapezoid is 26 yards and the bases are 14 and 30 yards. What is the area (in square yards)?
faust18 [17]

Answer: 572 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation to find the area of a (base1 + base2) x height/2

The two bases are 14 and 30. Add them up to get 44.

Then, times that by the height. You get 1,144.

Lastly, divide 1,144 by 2. You get 572.

I hope this helped!
