Answer: 0.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of white cows be x

Thus, the number of brown cows be (x+12)

Hence,

x+(x+12)=60

x+x+12=60

2x+12=60

2x+12-12=60-12

2x=48

Divide both parts of the equation by 2:

x=24 white cows

x+12=36 brown cows

The number of white cows are less than one year old:

\displaystyle\\\frac{3}{4}(24)=\\\\\frac{3(24)}{4}=\\\\ 3*6=\\\\ 18\ white\ cows

The number of brown cows are less than one year old:

\displaystyle\\\frac{2}{3}(36)=\\\\ \frac{2(36)}{3}=\\\\ 2*12=\\\\24 \ brown \ cows

The total number of cows are less than one year old:

18+24=42\  cows

Thus

Fraction of all the cows are less than one year old:

\displaystyle\\\frac{42}{60}=\\\\\frac{6*7}{6*10}=\\\\\frac{7}{10} =\\\\ 0.7

Write a rule for a geometric sequence that has -6 as its first term and a common ratio of 2. What is the tenth term of this sequ
slega [8]
The general form of the geometric sequence is a_{n} = a_{1} (r) ^{n-1}, where a sub n is the number term you're looking for (we're looking for the tenth term). a sub 1 is the first term in the sequence (ours is -6), r is the common ratio, and n-1 is the numbered term you're looking for minus 1.  Our formula then looks like this: a_{10} =-6(2) ^{10-1}.  Simplify it to  a_{10} =-6(2)^9.  Take 2 to the 9th power then multiply it by -6 to get -3072.  C is your answer.

A young sumo wrestler decided to go on a special diet to gain weight rapidly. He gained weight at a constant rate.
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Finding the rate of the weight gain, we divide the total weight gained with the total number of months that took to gain that weight.

Total time (months) = 0.5 + 2 + 3.5 = 6 months

Total weight (kg) = 80.6 + 88.4 + 96.2 = 265.2 kilograms

Rate = Kg ÷ Months

Rate = 265.2 ÷ 6 = 44.2

44.2 kilograms per month

Cheers!
