Two polygons are similar if their corresponding angles are congruent and the corresponding sides have a constant ratio.

Two triangles are similar if they have the same ratio of corresponding sides and equal pair of corresponding angles.

What is a polygon and a triangle ?

A Polygon is a closed figure made up of line segments (not curves) in a two-dimensional plane. Polygon is the combination of two words, i.e. poly (means many) and gon (means sides). A minimum of three line segments is required to connect end to end, to make a closed figure.

Triangles, hexagons, pentagons, and quadrilaterals are all examples of polygons.

A triangle is a polygon with three sides having three vertices. The angle formed inside the triangle is equal to 180 degrees. It means that the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is equal to 180°.

Therefore;

Two polygons are similar if their corresponding angles are congruent and the corresponding sides have a constant ratio.

Two triangles are similar if they have the same ratio of corresponding sides and equal pair of corresponding angles.

a student spends the same amount each week for bus fare. In 5 weeks, he spends $115. Write an equation for his relationship. Let
dem82 [27]

Answer:

f(x) = ($23/week)(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

Let's determine the unit rate. I'd suggest finding the cost per week, rather than the weeks covered by a certain amount of money.

Then:

$115

-------- = $23 per week

Then the amount spent as a function of the # of weeks would be:

f(x) = ($23/week)(x)

The table shows the number of candies packed by Machine A. The equation shows the number of candies packed by Machine B. In both
Bogdan [553]
answer: 360

Given:
Machine A Candy Packing
x(minutes) y(candies)
  5 600
10 1200
15 1800
20 2400

Machine B : y = 150x

Find number of candies packed in 12 minutes.

Machine A : 600/5mins = 120 candies per minute
120 * 12 minutes = 1,440 candies

Machine B : y = 150x ⇒ y = 150(12) ⇒ y = 1,800

Machine B: 1,800
Machine A: 1,440
Difference 360

Machine B packed 360 more candies than Machine A in 12 minutes.
