Using the properties of parallel line we can say that the statement angle ∠2 and angle ∠5 is true.

An angle is a shape that is made up of two rays that have a common endpoint and are known as the angle's sides and vertices, respectively, in geometrical. Two rays can also form a very specific angles in the plane where they are positioned.

Angles are also produced when two planes intersect. These are also known as the dihedral angles. Another characteristic of intersecting curves is the only angle that is generated by the rays that are perpendicular to the only two crossing of curves at the point of junction.

∠4 and ∠ 6 are co-interior angles and we know from the properties of parallel lines that they are equal to 180°

so the sum of the linear pair of the other angles will also be 180°

Angle can also be used to describe the duration of an angle or rotation. This measurement illustrates the link between the length and radius of a circular arc.

Which points are solutions to the linear inequality y < 0.5x + 2? Select three options.
Lisa [10]

Some solutions for the given linear inequality:

y < 0.5x + 2

are:

{(0, 1), (1, 2), (2, 2)}

Which points are solutions of the linear inequality?

Here we have the linear inequality:

y < 0.5x + 2

To find the points we can evaluate the right side, and then find values of y such that the inequality is true.

For example, if we use x = 0, then we get:

y < 0.5*0 + 2

y < 2

A value of y such that this is true is y = 1

Then the point (0, 1) is a solution of the inequality.

Another example can be with x = 1:

y < 0.5*1 + 2

y < 2.5

This time we can select y = 2, then the solution is (1, 2).

To get a final solution we can evaluate in x = 2

y < 0.5*2 + 2

y < 3

Then a possible solution is y = 2 again, so the solution is (2, 2).

Notice that for each of these values of x, there are a lot of other points that are solutions.

During the summer, every student became 5% taller. Matt was x before summer, after summer he was 105cm.
nadezda [96]

Short answer: 100

I assume you want to find x.

We want an equation that says that x is equal to 105cm, minus that 5 percent, because that is his height before the 5% was added. That looks like:

x + 0.05x = 105

(0.05 is 5% in decimal form, which is necessary in equations like this).

x + 0.05x = 1.05x

1.05x = 105.

Isolate x by dividing both sides by 1.05

1.05x / 1.05 = x, 105 / 1.05 = 100

x = 100, so he was 100cm tall before summer

My original answer was 99.75. This is wrong because I used the 5% of 105, which is wrong because in the question it says his original height (which is x) had 5% added to it. So its 5% of x, not 5% of 105. This changes the whole equation.
