The maximum area is 640,000.

Given fencing yards = 3200

let the length be x and the width be y

The parameter of the rectangle is given as;

2(L + B),that is

2(x + y) = 3200

x + y = 1600

y = 1600-x

let the area of the rectangle be A, then

A = x y

A = x(1600-x)

A = 1600x - x^2

finding the maximum derivative of A with respect of x

da/dx = 1600 - 2x

set da/dx to zero,

1600 - 2x = 0

1600 = 2x

x = 1600/2

x =800

substitute the value of x = 800 in to y

y = 1600 - 800

y = 800

The maximum area is 800 x 800

Therefore Maximum area = 640,000.

UNO [17]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider given statement "If a figure is a cube, then it has eight vertices" in math terms. Let

  • statement p be "A figure is cube.";
  • statement q be "A figure has 8 vertices."

Then the statement  "If a figure is a cube, then it has eight vertices"  can be written as

p\Rightarrow q

Converse (q\Rightarrow p): If a figure has eight vertices, then it is a cube.

Inverse (\neg p\Rightarrow \neg q): If a figure is not a cube, then it has not eight vertices.

Contrapositive (\neg q\Rightarrow \neg p): If a figure has not eight vertices, then it is not a cube.

anastassius [24]
What you do is you find the common denominator between the two fractions given.  the easiest is to just multiply them

6*8=48

and then multiply each numerator by the number it's denominator is multiplied by

1*8=8  and 5*6=30

and now you have your new fractions, add them together

8/48+30/48=38/48

this leaves 10/48 as the people who were wearing shorts,  just simplify this and it's done

10/2    =5/24
