Registered dietitian nutritionists and pediatricians generally recommend that babies be breastfed exclusively for the first 6 month of life.

The first breast milk, contains antibodies that protect the newborn against diseases. Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby's risk of having asthma or allergies. Babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea. Breastfed babies are healthier and get sick less often.

Continuing to breastfeed after six months has been shown to lower the chances of some childhood and adult illnesses and, if your baby does get ill, helps him recover more quickly. So, breast milk for babies in their first 6 months of life and remains the most important food during their first year.

Which of the following statements correctly compares water-soluble and lipid-soluble hormones?
frozen [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is option E. only water-soluble hormones use second messengers.

Explanation:

Water soluble hormones can not diffuse through cell membranes as only lipid soluble molecules can pass through the cell membranes and these hormons are not lipid soluble molecules,

These water hormones are usually glycoproteins, peptide and catecholamnies such as TSH, FSH, LH and insulin. these hormones need second messengers because there receptors are present on the plasma membrane.

Thus, the correct answer is option - e.  only water-soluble hormones use second messengers.
