Explanation:

Refractory period is period of the time during which organ or cell is not more capable of repeating an action. It can also be said as amount of the time, the organ takes for the excitable membrane so that it can be as ready for a second stimulus as once it returns to the resting state by following an excitation.

Refractory period in the cardiac physiology is related to ion currents flow into and out of cell freely.

The long refractory period of the cardiac muscle helps to excite heart before proceeding of contraction, which enables heart to pump the blood and to relax then which then to be filled with the blood in cardiac cycle.

What is important in a case where a healthcare provider is delayed on a task that will impact her coworkers' ability to complete
Sophie [7]

Maintaining the electronic health record (EHR) and the appropriate flow of healthcare is important in a case where a healthcare provider is delayed on a task that will impact her coworkers' ability to complete their tasks or keep their patients updated.

Explanation:

Efficient and safe healthcare requires proper professional cooperation and communication along with team collaboration. A smooth transition of workflow is highly essential in healthcare practice a delay by one person should not affect the entire flow of care provided to the patient.

Delay in providing healthcare to a patient can be a very serious life-threatening issue. This delay by one person will also affect the co-worker’s work flow as well as capabilities.

Maintaining electronic health record is the best solution in such situations where all the healthcare providers can access the patient details to know about what is already done and what needs to be done to improve the patient’s health condition.

EHR can also be accessed by the patient to be updated about the healthcare he/she is receiving and about the status of his/her health condition.

kondaur [170]

Answer:

"I take cimetidine rather than omeprazole for heartburn'" (Ans D)

Explanation:

Theophylline can cause seizures and life-threatening arrhythmias depending upon a route of administration and dose due to its narrow therapeutic range (10-20 mcg/mL).

The dose can be adjusted based on peak drug levels, obtained 30 minutes after the dose is given. Clients who have oral theophylline should avoid medications such as cimetidine, ciprofloxacin that increase serum theophylline levels and caffeinated products.
