It has been hypothesised that a connection exists between skin colour, latitude, and intensity of UV light based on previous investigations of the association between human skin colour and distance from the equator.

The fundamental presumptions are that UV radiation is strongest at the equator and that it decreases uniformly in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres as latitude increases. These presumptions form the basis of the common study of human skin tone, which assumes that skin tone is darkest at the equator and that skin tone decreases with latitude equally in both hemispheres. At identical latitudes, UV radiation is more in the Southern Hemisphere than the Northern Hemisphere. This variation in astronomical and climatic circumstances may have existed in the past at various times and may have had an impact on the development of human skin tone.

What do high and low air pressure systems mean in terms of density?
Arada [10]

There are two physical differences between Low pressure systems and High pressure systems.

First, is the circulation surrounding them.

Secondly, is the atmospheric motion that they cause.

Low pressure systems circulate counter-clockwise. High pressure systems circulate clockwise. These "motions" are the building blocks in our atmosphere. They give us our weather.

A Low’s counter-clockwise circulation forces air upward (ultimately resulting in condensation, cloud formation and ultimately precipitation). A High’s clockwise circulation causes a sinking motion in the atmosphere, resulting in fair/clearer and often sunnier skies.

In a population of 1000 individuals, 500 new individuals were born and 200 individuals died over the course of 1 year. Which equ
blagie [28]

(Initial individuals + newborn individuals) - dead individuals = total individuals

Growth rate = (total individuals/initial individuals) * 100

Population growth rate = new percentage minus 100%

Calculations

(1000 + 500) - 200 = 1500 - 200 = 1300

Growth rate = (1300/ 1000) * 100

= 1.3 * 100

= 130%

Population growth rate = 130% - 100%

= 30% per year if it is uniform

What is the increase in temperatures due to more greenhouse gases?
xeze [42]

Answer: Since the industrial revolution, human activities have also resulted in an increase in natural greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide. An increase in these gases in the atmosphere enhances the atmosphere's ability to trap heat, which leads to an increase in the average surface temperature of the Earth.

Which of the following human activities would be expected to be the biggest contributor to air pollution?
sergejj [24]

The correct answer is (a) driving.

The pressence of undesirable substances in air is called as air pollution. There are many human activities that contribute to air pollution. The biggest contributor is driving. The pollutants that comes out of the car are carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide. They also release hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxides which when combines in sunlight becomes ozone. Air pollutants emitted by cars and other automobiles increases the level of harmful gases which to severe health problems such as heart disease, asthma, irritation in eyes.
