Quantity of butter should he use is 160g and  of the oats should he use 240g.

Given in the question,

Ratio (Syrup : Butter : Oats) = 1 : 2 : 3

Quantity of syrup = 80g

To find the quantity of butter and oats we will multiply 80 with 2 and 3 respectively.

Quantity of butter = 80*2

                             = 160

Quantity of oats = 80*3

                           = 240

Hence, quantity of butter and oats he should use is 160g and 240g respectively.

Find the Area of the figure below, composed of a parallelogram and two semicircles. Round to the nearest tenths place.
____ [38]

Answer:

Find area of parallelogram:

Area of Parrallelogram = Base x Height

A = 14 x 6

A = 84 (units^2)

Area of circle:

Area =

= \pi \times  {r}^{2}

= \pi \times  {8}^{2}

= 201.062

Both semi-circles make a circle so:

Total Area = Parrallelogram + Circle

Total Area = 84 + 201.1

Total Area = 285.1 units^2

Vedant runs around a square park of side 42m, three times. Rehan runs around a rectangular park of length 40m and breadth 18m, f
lana [24]

Answer:

Rehan;

76m

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance covered by running around square park :

Perimeter of square = 4s ; s = side length of square

Perimeter = 4 * 42m = 168 m

Total distance covered = 168m * 3 = 504m

Distance covered by running around rectangular park :

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + w) ;

Perimeter = 2(40 + 18) = 2(58) = 116 m

Total distance covered = 116m * 5= 580m

580m - 504m = 76m

Rehan covered more distance

you buy a calculator for $65. A 6% sales tax is added. Write and solve an equation to find the total price,t.
laila [671]

Answer:

The total price of the calculator is $68,90.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we look at the information we have, we can establish that the initial cost of the calculator is $ 65, and that at the time of payment 6% of taxes were added.

Now we must determine what the total value to be paid for the calculator will be.

The correct form would be applying 6% to 65, which will give us the value of the tax:

<em>t = 65 . 0,06 </em>

<em>t = 3,90 </em>

Knowing that $ 3.90 is the value of the tax, we should only add it to the initial value of the calculator:

$ 65 + $ 3.90 = $ 68.90

Therefore, the calculator will cost $ 68.90.
