It isn't a because the xylem transports water and nutrients. Tracheids transport water and salt minerals. It would not be trichomes because they are little hairs on the plants. It would D because the phloem transports sugars and wastes.

Answer:

Option D, Phloem

Explanation:

Phloem and Xylem are parts of vascular system of a plant. While phloem transports food produced in the leaves,   Xylem transports water absorbed by roots to all other parts of the plant. Phloem tissue is composed of cambium cells and sieve tubes which run all along through the plant body thereby allowing transmission of food  to all non photosynthesizing parts of the plant such as stem, roots, etc . The transportation through phloem tissue is bi-directional unlike the transportation through xylem.

If a small molecule is found at greater concentration inside the cell than outside, it can be concluded that Choose one: A. ener
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. energy was required to produce the concentration gradient.

Explanation:

There are two types of transport through which a molecule moves in and out of the cell and these are active transport and passive transport. In passive transport, the molecule moves without the help of energy because they move down there concentration. So in passive transport, if concentration gradient changes then passive transport will take place.

In active transport, the molecule move against their concentration gradient with the help of energy or ATP. So in passive transport, the concentration of molecule can be high in the cell because its transport occurred against the gradient with the help of energy. So the correct answer is A.

Explain the three main types of rock and how they are each formed
givi [52]
1. Sedimentary-formed from particles of sand, shells, pebbles, and other fragments. Generally soft and breaks apart easily.
2. Metamorphic-formed under the surface of earth from the change from the heat and pressure. These rocks will have a shinny crystal like shine to them.
3. Igneous-formed when the magma cools down and hardens. Won't have a shinny look to it. Sometimes will have tiny holes in them.
