The convecting mantle, upon which the tectonic plates lie, is what moves them. These plate movements may be responsible for both obvious geologic occurrences like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions as well as more subdued yet exquisite ones like the formation of mountains.

Mountains and volcanoes that arise as a result of the movement of the plates can also influence the climate. The climate may be affected by large mountain ranges by altering air circulation throughout the world. Mountains, for instance, may cause warm air to be redirected to colder areas.

The distribution, size, and depth of ocean basins are determined by the movement of tectonic plates, which also affects how water is distributed across the continents.

8090 [49]

Answer:

The nucleic acid DNA is an organic compound. DNA is made up of repeating subunits called nucleotides . Each DNA molecule consists of 2 long chains of nucleotides. A DNA nucleotide has three parts: a sugar molecule called deoxyribose ; a phosphate group, and a molecule that is referred to as a nitrogenous base because it contains nitrogen atoms. The deoxyribose sugar and the phosphate group are identical in all DNA nucleotides. However, the nitrogenous base may be any one of 4 different kinds. The four nitrogenous bases found in DNA nucleotides are adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. The two strands of a DNA molecule are held together by hydrogen bonds.

The fact that all seven of the pea plant traits studied by Mendel obeyed the principle of independent assortment most probably i
Feliz [49]

Answer:

All of the genes controlling the traits behaved as if they were located on different chromosomes.

Explanation:

Mendel's experiments with pea plants lead to two principles:

  • Law of segregation which states that the pair of alleles (for any trait) of each parent separate, meaning that one allele passes from father and another from mother  to an offspring.
  • Law of independent assortment which states that different pairs of alleles (for different traits) are passed to offspring independently of each other (traits are located on different chromosomes).
