The two figures are congruent because dilation s used to map figure 1 onto figure two

What is dilation?

dilation is a transformation, which is used to resize the object. Dilation is used to make the objects larger or smaller.

From the figure shown you can see that PQRS is dilated to produce EFGH since the shapes are similar in nature but the quadrilateral EFGH is an enlarged form of PQRS

Hence we can conclude that the two figures are congruent because dilation is used to map figure 1 onto figure two

help please !!!Kevin wants to make a mixture that is 50% lemon juice and 50% lime juice. How much 100% lemon juice should he add
Liula [17]
So basically, he wants to make mixture where lemon=lime

it is 6 gallons so
40% of 6=0.4 times 60=2.4=lemon
60% of 6=0.6 times 60=3.6=lime
so to make them equal
3.6-2.4=1.2
he must add 1.2 gallons of 100% lemon juice to make a mixture of 50% lemon and 50% lime

1.2 gallons is the answer

Alvin’s first step in solving the given system of equations is to multiply the first equation by 2 and the second equation by –3
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

One solution: 0x + 0.5y = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

9x + 4y = 36

6x + 2.5y = 24

2 * Eq. 1

18x + 8y = 72

-3 * Eq. 2

-18x - 7.5y = -72

Add the multiples of the equations.

0x + 0.5y = 0

Answer: One solution: 0x + 0.5y = 0

Solve the system of equations using the linear combination method. {4x−3y=12;7x−3y=3
Lemur [1.5K]
<span>4x−3y=12
7x−3y=3             Important:  you have two -3y terms.  Mult one eqn by -1 to
obtain +3y, and then add the 2 equations together:

4x - 3y = 12
-7x+3y = -3
----------------
-3x       = 9, so x = -3.  Subst. -3 for x in the first original equation to find y:

4(-3) - 3y = 12, or -3y = 24.  Then y = -8.

Solution is (-3, -8).

It's important that you check this answer by subst. (-3, -8) back into either one of the original equations.
