in lecture we discussed a study of penner and saperstein (2008) about racial classification. the study investigated the role of

three factors: employment, incarceration, and poverty status, in people's racial (self-)classifications. interviewers had to assess participants' race at various points in time, and participants had do assess their own race at various points in time. how were interviewers' classifications of participants' race and participants' self-classification of their own race affected by participants' employment, incarceration, and poverty status?

Participants who had classified themselves as black in 1979 were more likely to re-classify themselves as black in 2002 when they have been unemployed or poor.

Of the three structures of stratification mentioned so far, class systems are with the aid of far the most open, meaning they have the most vertical mobility.

We will look later at social magnificence within the usa and talk about the volume of vertical mobility in American society.

Nathan assisted with the purchase of a commercial building that will be used as a community center. He doesn’t hold a DC real es
Yuri [45]

Answer:

Nathan is a public official whose salaried duties include real estate transactions.

Explanation:

In the situation shown in the question above, we can conclude that Nathan is a civil servant whose salaried duties include real estate transactions, for this reason, he is not violating any license law, even though he does not have a real estate license in DC.

A civil servant is a person who provides a service of social utility, that is, who gives support to others without ulterior motives or for their personal benefit (he has nothing to gain but the salary he earns for his work). Public servants, as a general rule, provide services on behalf of the State. It is the responsibility of state institutions (such as hospitals, schools or security forces) to bring public service to the entire community.
