Equal protection provisions states that state shall not deny any of its citizen the privilege of being a citizen of US. No person shall be denied of life, liberty, property and equal protection of law.

It was enacted as a first part of the 14th amendment of the constitution.

The 14th amendment along with the 13th and 15th was primarily intended to establish equal rights for the former slaves. The 14th amendment talks about due process of law and equal protection of law.
