The coordinates of the vertices of the image after transformation is; (-8, 4), (-6, 10), (-4, 4) and (-6, 2)

<h3>How to carry out transformations?</h3>

When we translate an object to the right, it means that we subtract the number of units of translation from the variable x. Applying this to our coordinates with translation of 3 units to the right gives;

(-5 - 3,-4), (-3 - 3, 2 ) (-1 - 3,-4),and (-3 - 3,-6)

⇒ (-8, -4), (-6, 2), (-4, -4) and (-6, -6)

Translation upwards means to add the number of units of translation to the y variable and in this question, we have;

(-8, -4 + 8), (-6, 2 + 8), (-4, -4 + 8) and (-6, -6 + 8)

⇒ (-8, 4), (-6, 10), (-4, 4) and (-6, 2)

Use the triangle below to find cos V.
Semenov [28]

Answer:

cos\ V = \frac{2\sqrt{29}}{29}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The attached triangle

Required

Find cos V

In trigonometry:

cos\theta = \frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}

In this case:

cos V= \frac{TV}{UV}

Where

TV = 6

and

UV^2 = TV^2 + TU^2 -- Pythagoras

UV^2 = 6^2 + 15^2

UV^2 = 261

Take square roots

UV = \sqrt{261

UV = \sqrt{9*29

UV = \sqrt{9} *\sqrt{29

UV = 3\sqrt{29

So:

cos V= \frac{TV}{UV}

cos\ V = \frac{6}{3\sqrt{29}}

cos\ V = \frac{2}{\sqrt{29}}

Rationalize:

cos\ V = \frac{2}{\sqrt{29}}*\frac{\sqrt{29}}{\sqrt{29}}

cos\ V = \frac{2\sqrt{29}}{29}

What is 7 - (-4) ? I got -24
koban [17]

Answer:

11

Step-by-step explanation:

7-(-4) is 11. You must make the subtraction symbol in the middle to addition, since you have 2 negatives. Two negatives = postive. So after you do that it would be 7+4=11

Hope this helped!
