Solution

The dimension of the rectangular floor is 18ft long and 12 ft wide

Using the conversion table

It is given that 1yd =3 ft

This shows that

12 feet will be equivalent to

\frac{12}{3}=4yd

Also 18ft will be equialent to

\frac{18}{3}=6yd

Therefore the new dimension is 6 yard by 4 yard

The area will be

A=6\times4

Therefore the required area is

A=24yd^2

Can you please help me solve this and show the solution 4y⁴+6y?
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

4y^4 + 6y = 256y + 6 = <u>262y</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Remove the variables for a second and think of the problem as a normal expression; 4^4 + 6

Simplify the first term; 4^4 = 256

Now, add 6; 256 + 6 = 262

Add back in the variable; 262y

A metal alloy is 25% copper. Another metal alloy is 50% copper. How many grams of the 50% copper alloy should be used to make 10
Elis [28]
Well if the alloy makes the 1000 grams, but you are dealing with copper that isn't even 100% copper, than you either need 55% more copper, which isn't given, which means you really need 550 grams of alloy copper.

What is the next term of the following sequence? <br><br><br> 20, 10, 5, 21/2, ...
ycow [4]

Answer:

1 \frac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Note there is a common ratio between consecutive terms, that is

10 ÷ 20 = 5 ÷ 10 = 2 \frac{1}{2} ÷ 5 = \frac{1}{2}

Thus to obtain the next term in the sequence multiply the previous term by \frac{1}{2}

2 \frac{1}{2} × \frac{1}{2} = 1 \frac{1}{4}
