The value of m/QRS is 135°

What are adjacent angles?

Adjacent angles are two or more angles having:

 • A common vertex
 • A common side
 • Do not overlap
 • A non-common arm on the sides of the common arm.
 • Are either supplementary or complementary based on the sum of the measures of angles.

Given the angles as;

 • m/LRS= 40x,
 • m/QRS = 1 + 67x
 • m/QRL = 55°.

This is expressed as;

m/QRS = m/LRS + m/QRL

Substitute the values

1 + 67x = 40x + 55°

collect like terms

27x = 54

Make 'x' the subject of formula

x = 54/ 27

x = 2

But :

m/QRS = 1 + 67x = 1 + 67(2) = 1 + 134 = 135°

Thus, the value of m/QRS is 135°

In triangle PQR, Q=72 degrees, R=32 degrees and PR=12. find PQ
Volgvan

Answer:

6.69 to the nearest hundredth

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the law of sines

Let x = PQ

\frac{sin 72}{12} = \frac{sin 32}{x}

x sin 72 = 12 sin 32

x = \frac{12 sin 32}{sin 72}

x = 6.69 to the nearest hundredth

Explain the following terms: positive slope, negative slope, x-intercept, y-intercept
bixtya [17]
Positive slope- two variables are positively related; that is when x increases, so does y and when x decreases, y decreases also.

negative slope- two variables are negatively related; that is when x increases, y decreases and when x decreases, y increases.

x-intercept- the x-coordinate of a point where a line, curve, or surface intersects the x-axis.

y-intercept- the y-coordinate of a point when a line, curve, or surface intersects the y-axis.

In stratified random sampling,(A) randomly selected elements within each of the strata form the sample.(B) all elements within t
otez555 [7]

Answer: (A) randomly selected elements within each of the strata form the sample.

Step-by-step explanation:

Stratified random sampling is a random sampling technique in statistics .

 • It includes the partition of the entire population into sub-parts called strata.
 • The strata are formed on the basis of the characteristics shared by members .
 • After the formation of strata, researcher randomly selects participants from each strata to ensure that that the participant of every group must involve in the sample to represent each character.

Hence, the correct answer is :

(A) randomly selected elements within each of the strata form the sample.
