The opposition that the people faced as the gay rights movement went on was that they were told that the people that were faced with the issues of marriage and the fact that their beliefs and practices were unnatural and should be stopped.

What is meant by gay rights?

This is the terminology that is used to refer to the fight that the gays put up in the United States in order to be recognized and the discrimination against them could be stopped. The rights was to ensure that they were able to go on and marry the people they wanted to marry and express themselves freely.

They faced issues in the society from those that felt they had unnatural urges and should be harmed, killed or repressed for having such desires.

Did President Johnson’s actions in response to the Gulf of Tonkin incident show a “monolithic” (rigid) view of communism? Explai
e-lub [12.9K]

The reaction of President Johnson to the Gulf of Tonkin incident did indeed show a monolithic view of Communism because he believed that Communism was dangerous.

What was the Gulf of Tonkin incident?

This was an event in 1964 when it was said that North Vietnamese navy boats attacked American naval destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.

The North Vietnamese were Communists and Johnson responded by increasing U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

This shows a rigid view of Communism because Johnson thought that it would be right to go after Communists in Vietnam because all Communists were dangerous.
