The event described in the new testament at which the holy spirit descended to the apostles and gave them the ability to speak in all the languages of the world is called Pentecost.

On the Day of Pentecost, as written in the New Testament book of Acts. The 12 apostles and several early disciples gathered in a Jerusalem home to observe the customary Jewish Pentecost about 40 days after Jesus' resurrection. The disciples started speaking in tongues as soon as they received the Holy Spirit. Every pilgrim heard the apostles speaking to them in their own foreign language, which astounded the crowds of tourists. Some spectators believed the apostles were inebriated. The Apostle Peter took advantage of the opportunity and stood to address the throng present that day. He clarified that the folks weren't inebriated; rather, the Holy Spirit had given them power.

grin007 [14]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

After the Russian Revolution, a new form of government set up in the country. The communist began to sping up in Russia under the leadership of Lenin. The ideas of communism are very much different from capitalism. Christian lives under the communism are awful. Communist did not believe in God, Democracy, and Christianity. It is impossible to live the life of a free citizen in a communist country. The government controls everything, including the rights of the people as they have no say on the policies and laws of the government. The communist rule did not survive for long in the satellites states as people started opposing the rule.

Who is one VP who took a very active role in government? What did he do?
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

On April 21, 1789, John Adams, the first vice president of the United States, began his duties as president of the Senate. Adams's role in the administration of George Washington was sharply constrained by the constitutional limits on the vice presidency and his own reluctance to encroach upon executive prerogative.
