On a compass, which direction is opposite noroeste? a. sudeste

What is noroeste?

 • nornoreste — north-northeast
 • noreste — northeast
 • estenoreste — east-northeast
 • estesudeste — east-southeast
 • sudeste — southeast
 • sudsudeste — south-southeast
 • sudsudoeste — south-southwest
 • sudoeste — southwest
 • oestesudoeste — west-southwest
 • oestenoroeste — west-northwest
 • noroeste — northwest
 • nornoroeste — north-northwest

In some areas, the use of sur- as the stem meaning "south" is preferred, so you'll also hear the variations such sureste and suroeste alone as well as in combination forms such as sursureste. Combinations using oriente and occidente, such as suroccidente for "southwest" and nororiente for "northeast," are also used.

Rebecca’s dad is an optometrist. She decides to present a speech on the human eye and how it works. She asks her dad if she can
LiRa [457]

The representative eye that Rebecca wants to borrow from her optometrist dad, which is larger than real human eye, is a model.

 • A model is usually a representation of an object. It is used to convey information about the real thing (object).

 • A model may be less or more than the real object. Its use enables Rebecca to present her speech on the human eye and its workings so that her audience can easily understand the speech.

Thus, the representative eye is not an object, a chart, or a graph. Instead, it is a model that represents the real human eye, which is an object.

In the early 1800s, why did large numbers of immigrants move to the western frontier? In the early 1800s, why did large numbers
Mama L [17]
I'm learning about all of that right now and nowhere did it say anything about German and Scandinavian immigrants. I'm sure there were some, but not enough to have to learn everything about it. The Irish "Potato Famine" happened during mid 1800s, so it could be possible that that's the answer, but it makes more sense that it would be the English because they've been immigrating to America since the 1400s

Why was there a conflict in Vietnam and was the conflict considered a victory or a loss for the United States? Why?
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Look below

Explanation:

The question of who won the Vietnam War is a contentious and emotional one, because opinions in the United States were so divided while the war was happening. However, North Vietnam ultimately achieved all of its strategic goals while the United States did not. Most historians would agree that North Vietnam won the war. Militarily speaking, the war was the result of North Vietnam and the Vietcong attempting to overthrow the South Vietnamese government. The conflict was a continuation of the first Indochina war, which was fought when the Vietnamese sought independence from France after World War II.
