What is hemoglobin?

 • The iron-containing oxygen-transporting metalloprotein known as hemoglobin.
 • The abbreviations Hb or Hgb, is found in the red blood cells of almost all vertebrates as well as some invertebrate organs.
 • The oxygen from the respiratory organs is transported to the rest of the body by hemoglobin in the blood.
 • Iron deficiency anemia is characterized by low hemoglobin that is brought on by low iron levels.
 • Low hemoglobin is most frequently caused by a diet that is inadequate in iron.
 • Low hemoglobin levels can cause headaches, exhaustion, and pale complexion.
 • Surgery, iron therapy, and iron supplementation are all options for treating low hemoglobin.
 • Red blood cells include the protein hemoglobin, which transports oxygen to your body's organs and tissues and carbon dioxide from those tissues back to your lungs.
 • A low red blood cell count if a hemoglobin test finds that your hemoglobin level is lower than normal (anemia).

during exercise ,energy demand in the muscle increases.which other body system directly provide for this demand?
TEA [102]
During exercise, a number of changes occur to maximise the body's oxygen intake. Firstly our heart rate/ pulse increases. This is due to the heart beating much faster and more forcefully to pump blood faster around the body.
Our breathing rate increases to intake more oxygen and exhale more CO2.

The smooth muscle in our trachea and bronchi relaxes to increase the lumen size thus making breathing easier. Adrenaline may also be released leading further amplifying these changes as well as reducing blood flow to the gut and thus peristalsis occurs at a much slower rate.

Also when we exercise we respire more, producing heat, which must be expelled. This may be done through sweating. Another physiological change that occurs is vasodilation of arterioles closer to the skin to allow more blood to flow closer to the skin, allowing more heat to radiate out.

Gene expression in prokaryotes is regulated at which stage?
iris [78.8K]
Gene expression in prokaryotes can be regulated at multiple stages including transcriptional and co-translational. Operons respond routinely to the presence of specific metabolites and change the availability of activators and repressors while speific end products of biosynthetic pathways can regulate the translatability of mRNAs for new proteins.
