You have not described the alternatives, but as an economist I can help you!

The Federal Reserve is the body that decides the direction of US monetary policy. The economic decisions of the agency can be expansive, when they stimulate the economy, or restrictive, when they slow economic growth.

The two main tools the Federal Reserve has in conducting monetary policy are the interest rate and the open market.

We say that monetary policy is restrictive when the Federal Reserve increases the interest rate or sells government bonds (by decreasing the amount of money in circulation). These measures are taken to slow down the economy and prevent the inflationary process.

The opposite occurs when the Federal Reserve buys securities and / or lowers the interest rate, measures that occur to stimulate the economy when economic activity is stagnant.

The Federal Reserve increases the discount rate, which causes interest rates to rise and people to save rather than to spend.

Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

The relationship between the 1860 election and the civil war is that because Abarham Lincoln was elected it set off a kind of domino effect in which the southern states did not like that he was elected because they were primarly democratic. Because of this they decided to split off of the United states and create their own country. Lincoln was not going to allow the splitting of the states so the civil war insued as a kind of reunification.

MArishka [77]

Barbour and Wright maintain that when the Supreme Court issues a ruling on the constitutionality of a particular bureaucratic regulation, they are "piecemeal".

Explanation:

It is a piecemeal approach accompanied by unsystematic, partial actions taken over periods. A piecemeal judgment is a document provided by an external auditor expressing a view confined to particular line elements within the financial statements of a corporation. In a situation where complete information is not accessible, an auditor can offer a piecemeal opinion.

For an instance, the defendants pursued a piecemeal investigation strategy in the patent infringement case, examining only the records of selected corporate employees. The district court stated that the method was contradictory to the Federal regulations of Civil Procedure and repeated court orders.

About what share of u.s. adults over the age of twenty-five are college graduates?
lbvjy [14]

The answer is "32 percent".

Education levels are expanding. Among individuals of ages sixty-five and more in 1965, just 5 percent had finished a four year certification or more. By 2014, this offer had ascended to 25 percent.

Fact: Normal U.S. life expanded from 68 years in 1950 to 79 years in 2013, in huge part because of the diminishment in mortality at more late ages.
