The Gospel According to Luke is the third of the four canonical gospels. This book deals with the origins, birth, ministry, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. It is also the longest book in the New Testament. It is considered to have been written by the same author as Acts of the Apostles, which also describes the ascension of Christ. Because of this, these works are sometimes known as Luke-Acts.
