Read the excerpt from “The Girl Who Silenced the World for Five Minutes.” I am only a child yet I know if all the money spent on

war was spent on finding environmental answers, ending poverty, and finding treaties, what a wonderful place this earth would be! At school, even in kindergarten, you teach us how to behave in the world. You teach us: • to not to fight with others. • to work things out. • to respect others. • to clean up our mess. • not to hurt other creatures. • to share, not be greedy. In this excerpt the author is arguing  that we are taught the correct things in school (not fighting with other, working things out with them, respecting them and creatures and cleaning our mess) but when it comes to the environment, to poverty and society; the governments prefer to use its resources on war instead of the well being of the earth and the human beings among them.

The correct answer is A. Only

Explanation

It is known as a modifier to words or phrases that act by modifying the core of the subject in a sentence, complementing its meaning. Among the modifiers of the subject's nucleus, there are the articles and adjectives that accompany the subject's nucleus noun, define it, and agree with it in gender and number. These modifiers are called direct modifiers. Therefore, Only is a modifier because it modifies the complete meaning of the phrase by modifying the core noun of the subject "they". So the correct answer is A. Only.

On a page of text, where would you most likely find a subheading, which is a type of title? Use your knowledge of the prefix sub
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

The subheading is found below the heading, at the beginning of the page.

Explanation:

The prefix "sub" means inferiority and refers to something that is below an element that is related. In this way, a subheading is related to the heading, although it is inferior in its placement and value, for this reason, it must accompany the heading, but be positioned below.

Thus, on a text page, at the beginning of the page, we can see the heading being accompanied by the subheading, which is placed in an inferior position, below the heading.
