In this passage, is reflected the expectation that a king gives gifts to his thanes as a feature of the Anglo-Saxon culture. In this poem, Beowulf, we can see the main characteristics of the Anglo-Saxon culture like friendship, loyalty, bravery and generosity. This passage makes emphasis on gift-giving, like generosity. When someone in this culture goes for a visit to another one’s place they considered important to bring them gifts as a gratitude for their hospitality.

A superstition is usually based on rational thinking.
yKpoI14uk [10]

The answer is false.  Superstition is based more on irrational fears rather than rational thinking.  It was brought about due to an ominous experience or occurrence that has later evolved into a system of customs, beliefs and traditions of things people can’t explain.

HELPPPPPPPPPPPP PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE????????????
Nadya [2.5K]
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am here today to talk to everyone about the social change that we need to commit to regarding animal cruelty.

I have created a website called Quiet Voices that will help with more information about animal cruelty. Every day there is more animals that don't have the love and care that they deserve. This website will show you images of the sad side that these animals live through. If you know anyone that you feel is not taking care of animals, please be their voice. If we help speak for them this will come to an end.

The co-founder of quiet voices will be hosting a event in 2018. Please listen the radio station LQR 103.21 or check our website for more information.

Hope to see you there.
