for the first one , send sin^4 (x) to L.H S and then use the identity ( a^2 - b^2 ) = (a+b)(a-b)

you will have the answer in 2 steps literally..

For second one , Add -1 on both sides , leave RHS Untouched.. On LHS , Substitute 1 as sin^2 (x) + cos^2(x) and starting solving by taking common and condensing repeatedly..

14. Two cars are traveling on two different roads that are perpendicular to each other. On a coordinate
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

-68/7

Step-by-step explanation:

slope1 of Car 1 that pass (-5,-8) (2,7)

= (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)=(2-(-5))/(7-(-8))=7/15

Slope2 of car 2 that pass (5,1) (10,y)

slope 1 and slope2 are perpendicular =>slope 2 =-15/7

make slope2 y=(-15/7)x+b

for it pass(5,1) => 1=(-15/7)5+b =>b=82/7 => y=(-15/7)x+82/7

put (10,y) in => y=(-15/7) 10+82/7=-68/7

Find the limit as t approaches 8 for the function f(t)=7(t-1)(t-1)
Ratling [72]

Answer:

7³

Step-by-step explanation:

You could answer this after a quick inspection.  7 remains constant as t approaches 8.  Each of the (t -1) terms will approach 7.  So, multiplying these factors together, you'll get 7(7)(7) = 7³3 as your answer, the limit as t approaches 8 of the given expression.

an NFL team kicker misses 2 out of every 11 field goals if he missed 8 filed goals throughout the season how many did he attempt
Aleks [24]
For this equation, you want to do it in fractions/ratios to properly solve it. You would have his average misses out of every field goal and his real missed attempts over total. It would look like this

\frac{2}{11}  =   \frac{8}{x}

You want to solve for x since x is the total amount of field goals that he attempted. You can do this by doing cross multiplication:

(2)(x) = (8)(11)

From here you can get:

2x = 88

Divide each side by 2 to isolate x and you get:

x=  44

So he made a total of 44 field goals.
