Why was the Spanish-American War significant in the history of American government and journalism?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

The right option is D.

Explanation:

With their reporting, the newspapers of the era - there was no radio, no TV or internet - played a fundamental role in molding the mood of public opinion, thus creating pressure on the government to act; they also stirred sympathy for the Cuban rebellion, and with their coverage of the Maine warship incident, they inflamed the feelings of the public. So, the print media actively influenced policies related to the war.

kiruha [24]
The appropriate response is the first one. Joseph II was Holy Roman Emperor from 1765 to 1790 and leader of the Habsburg lands from 1780 to 1790. He was the eldest child of Empress Maria Theresa and her significant other, Francis I, and was the sibling of Marie Antoinette.
