Was Gatsby's dream too intense? Why or
Marat540 [252]

The Great Gatsby is a tragic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Gatsby's dream was too intense as he saw Daisy in his dream. When Daisy is in front of him he feels nervous.

Who is Gatsby?

Jay Gatsby is the main protagonist of the story. He wants to pursue daisy whom he loves very much. His dream of being with Daisy was very intense and is not worth it as she marries Tom Buchanan after Gatsby leaves to fight in the war.

When he returns and sees Daisy he becomes nervous and had not seen her for a while. He knocks on the clock as he is very bewildered but also happy that he reached the same status as her and can achieve his dream.

Therefore, Gatsby's dream is too intense.
